The X Factor.

Every time you think of achieving something and achieve it or fail to do so and blames towards destiny that luck was not in my favor or there was a bit went wrong and few honest admit I was under prepared. We know the art of defense very well because we don’t wish to lose before others and before self absolutely not, here come the premises of excuses, reasons, and circumstances but above all our complacency, lethargy and inept attitude in achieving the endeavor perhaps we many time do our basics the process right but fail to transform that process into result. Often I feel the achievement is the fruit for the unbridled struggle between luck and preparation to achieve something you need all three counts on your side yes the three indomitable pearls in you the preparation, the luck, and the X factor. The preparation we all indeed do on the question of luck I had contested many views to quote’ luck favors the prepared mind,, the lady luck can be only impressed with the attraction of preparation, fortune favors the brave etc unquote. And then What is this  X factor a very interesting fact to understand the symbolism of X factor on the bottom remain static but its motivation levels may differ so whether the X factor is motivation, enthusiasm or, vitality perhaps this all may constitute the X factor but cannot define it as the X factor. According to my belief The X factor is the attitude to do the task under which you take up to accomplish, all of us possess the X factor and only we have to explore it to expand it.

Opportunities are some surprised gifts that give you an occasion to unleash your X factor yes your attitude your knowledge and perception that culminates in judging the things and executing it with interest of any given activity is something that rendezvous you with your X factor. It is very difficult to discover or groom your X factor but once it is brought into picture than there will be no backward looking only you move forward to win with your X factor. The X factor can be identified in your every activity it is not rigid or confine to the one sphere perhaps if you got the talent to compliment the X factor it has got every reason to compliment you with success.

Many of us are gifted with these strength of preparation, sign of luck and sense of X factor yet we fail and some time keep failing inspite of our strengths working for us we fail maybe we have to look it into other way. We got our strengths to win success but we fail why? we fail because we fail to exercise our strengths in right direction according to our interest mismatching it with imposed interest such as wishing the duck to dance, tortoise to fly etc. the strengths are our power that push our efforts to achieve success but these strengths need to be complimented with wings of interest or else our strengths will remain a fragile effort that may end in losing their precious power against you.

However the strengths are necessary to achieve merit to lead and be different from others but how we can develop our strength is a good question? That everyone constantly has to quest the answers, it could be better networking in mind as the initiative to think you are second to none and never give up. A story of ant who wishes to climb the wall falls several times down to only conquer the wall and celebrate her success towards her tiny but powerful personality that can end a giant elephant life. We need both the paradigm and power, the paradigm to never give up and the power to think you are second to none amalgamating this will help you in creating the synergy between preparation, luck, and X factor to make victory as your empress.

The uncanny irony among human abilities are that they are hidden in themselves to identify that they can do the difference but often the devil distraction never let these abilities to realize their power within and keep engage in the procrastination of their strengths that will take away their opportunity and leave regret with the time which otherwise they could have used productively but couldn’t do it either to live their interest or to escalate themselves into achievement which they undertook voyage.

I believe no time is a bad time the realization of wrong should give impetus to start the right than stretch the wrong into wrongful celebrations to regret. We are ourselves are better mentor, motivators, and achievers. if we internalize ourselves what we are that cannot be others. The secret to success is not remembering god for something but preparing yourself in such way that May God gift you before you ask through your efforts and prayers perhaps we will to achieve success and success will to reach you; Every time you start new endeavor keep your footsteps together to leave footprints, keep pious effort with hope together in honesty as hallmark to your endeavors. Do also keep trust on your X factor!

The unprecedented immoral exposure of leaders in India today has brought tremendous amount of censure to the institution of politics that has ventured to corrupt in the wake of absolute power corrupting absolutely. The shocking disclosure of corruption scams, conspiracies, and nepotism in the largest democracy by the leaders is absurd to turn politics into a play of puppetry that reckons only the role of power instrumental adjacent to people; it is hard to recognize that after six decades of freedom Indian democracy is witnessing the degeneration or its maturing enough to come across such instances for one of the Asia’s big player in the world.

The moral crisis is not only with India but a phenomenon around the world; It is awful that every nation to its credit has got some misdemeanor practices in one or the other form in the pages of history whether it may be the great democracy of USA standing for its highest values to only practice racial discrimination in the shadow, The united kingdom that is champion to give the principles of west minister to the world to only picture misappropriate of funds scandals and recent saga of Rupert Murdoch, Britain and media, the immoral actions of European leaders giving up to their temptations, the isolated endeavors of Germany that seldom come to light, the hypocrisy of Russia including the powerful China that is roaring for its development story to rise and embarrass itself for the curtailment of rights and freedom of expression in the dark. These sad but true events are the basic nuances in the world which reflects; is there any society which upholds the values and just in correction to follow its past ideals for sustainable future? perhaps it is an Utopian quest in the era were vested interests matters in the name of values and justice the extravaganza speaks for revenge and self profit with lingering wish to lead the Geo political field.

The other contrast factor to it the terror epidemic against humanity that makes humanity more vulnerable to fear and dishonor against it which is under the race for its own extinction. India also fought with set of values against British for freedom but since our independence we wrestle with shifting problems than sustainable solutions, the national freedom was the goal than came reorganization and industrialization in taking the ailing nation from the gifted wound of partition, as we grew our internal solutions remain temporal but external problems became permanent. it may be either fighting Pakistan, china, or insurgent in Kashmir, or  mapping the vulnerability (with persistent problems like population poverty, unemployment, and education etc) to maneuver independent India in united developed and prosperous with its hallmark identity of unity and diversity, the dark period of emergency in power lust destroyed the principle of democracy, from the horrors of emergency the new hope of economic revolution and new challenges  of communalism and coalition politics making more easy for power equations and more difficult for people to understand the equanimity, the moral crisis in leaders remain a breakthrough to adapt honest and austere values in the political career resulting into India part of the incredible world with more problems and less solutions that kept engage in finding strategies than solutions to restore our dignity and only delivered shameful basket of our misdeeds.

These instances are contributing to the global shame to wipe out these pitfalls from the public memory only to recollect these events in the pages of history but the more apathetic gesture is the eastern democracies in compare to western democracies are in imitation to believe that anything and everything can be done in the name of democracy. The situation in India is so widely spread that it will take more effort and time to develop the maturity among people to understand particularly in urban rural divide about the white collar exploitation in the name of power and people. The rising vices in the political society leading to the systemic chaos to corrupt practices in the institution has brought great embarrassment to the national dignity against the tryst which was achieved after huge labor and sacrifice. The growing sense of parochialism over nationalism is swiftly affecting the sovereignty, peace and integrity of the country.

The incredible leaders who toiled to unite country have changed to leaders in India today who wish everything to be disinvested and divided in the name of power, progress and profit; the people apparently are forced on the crossroads and progress for people has increasingly became a cliché for vested motives. These developments are blamed to global scenario but how can be such shameful developments of illegality and immorality can be substituted in the name of global scenario against its own people. The regretful irony is that we express a lot of concern, but we fail in our actions, we know to sympathize what we ignore is to empathize The declining of values in the advent of revolution in life style with technology has changed the societal paradigm that is increasingly becoming dependent to ‘tutor syndrome’ but how values can be thought or character could be tailored the leaders who hold power in the interest of nation have to recognize their conscience to serve the people and stand by to the allegiance for God than playing the show cards and  accumulating privileges in the name of power against common man.

 The social evils always condone and debated for solutions with shifting the responsibility to the next generation with the optimistic assurances and hopeless hypocrisy that reveal there is no accountability against the events that passed in the name of power cheating people, the justifiable eye wash is that everyone and every institution like civil society organization, political parties and media fashion their benefits and forget about delivery of justice or how is the system change.

Robert frost said in one of his expressions that during his whole experience of life if he has to summarize it in three words about Life it would be ‘life goes on’ similarly the resilience among people is the helplessness to only act once in five years or adopt to the exploitation that goes on maybe it is not the resilience but the absence of attitude or incapability to stand against the powerful system to be the change themselves first to witness the change at the surrounding.

The need is to replace manage credibility of individual and inspire to stand for their rights for change. The hope for change though lost its way to find an objective for new beginning in absence of ethics yet humanity lingers to anticipate new start in view to the significant events like an African American becoming the president of most powerful country in the world. A paper hawker raising to the president post in republic of India, a girl from the small town marrying to the prince of Great Britain. The word optimism has got the magic to make impossible into possible and give history the unexpected.

Busy Life.

Life brings you so many surprises that one cannot predict what coming to you from the heart of life, we live life like other but what it gift us like no other. She is good, great and vibrant to everyone to hope, like, and live to make her more purposeful and prosperous. We expect so many ambitions from life starting from balloon in childhood to building (home) in our adulthood, the wants are continuous for life from life, and we desire something or everything from one stage to other. The mind ask for peace, the body ask for pleasure, the identity ask for status which makes life under constant struggle do we endeavor to think what life need from us? Perhaps this introspection has no time but many answers that may be all are right and may be all are wrong but every one of us running their busy life from one station to another you got little time for self to your personal life. What are we really sprinting for numbers in bank account, position for name board, or luxuries in achievements that we all live it here before we pass away.

 It is very interesting truth that saints, masters, and altruistic personalities in the past spent their lives in meditation to discover meanings about ‘what is life’ and what life aspire and for whom (?). we have no time to compare ourselves with these personalities or take inspiration to introspect and live a better life due to our daily routines that keep us busy in discovering ourselves speeding for I may missed my local train, I am getting late, I have to finished my work on the way, I had to go bank, and gym and so on, so many daily goals we keep setting for us and shifting them. We seldom take pause, because we need to keep up with the pace we barely enjoy but we plan enjoyment with great planning, budgeting, and time perhaps we fill superficiality into enjoyment to entertain ourselves  but we don’t really live it’s to the fullest.

It is the sad irony that we forget to laugh, laugh on us laugh for self but to laugh we join the laughing club, watch laughter shows, movies, hang outs to look the happiness that is momentarily but are we really content from all these stuffs, How many of us take a pause from our daily chores to give some time and dedicate our self to know better know best may be this things are left on market, TV channels and personality development books and institutes to find our identities and tailor it due to our schedule that is busy in activities and no time to act for us, act for others.

At Indian airport I happen to meet a friend traveler who initially picked up some casual talks and we entered in a serious conversations that how busy we are with our work for riches that we think to replace everything with currency for our near and dear against what we express to care and reflect it by getting gadgets, flowers, and gifts. The human relationship bond today is increasingly substituted by materialism; A very important point was struck in our talks that we barely give respect to our words and emotions in life for our near and dear once we are so busy in the clock that after the passing away of closed loved one we take little time out to visit them in graveyards may be we do this for not to forget them or not to remember them perhaps the dilemma in the relationship symbolizes that how are we living life just like water flowing in lake neither we are aware of any direction nor destination.

The philosophy of life is simple to live it simple in a humble way but we caught the way and missed the principle to live and let other live in harmony and happiness; we learn noble thoughts but we have to internalize them and herald in life to realize to have a tryst with life than only rendezvous with time, we need to catch up  with life and its essence to enjoy little happiness that contributes in surplus joy to experience the benign antiquity of life.  The way we live is important but  we should also introspect why, what, how, and for who is this precious life.

The Revival

Indian Democracy saw a new revival by the  old gentleman Anna Hazare  who took against the series of corruption exposure that was steered under UPA government by sitting on fast unto death to bring a deterrent law against corruption and swayed the nation into the new revivalism of awakening against social evils like; The crusader who was alone was quickly joined with the support by the individuals, organizations that made the government subdued in constituting a committee to frame the law against corruption. The other crusader Baba Ramdev who tried with the same movement by different issue of Black money has to see the anger of government to the cause that left movement into distress; however these two distinct initiative has exposed different faces of government.

The emergence of civil society group rising against the episode of corruption to wake up the government against taking the mandate to be granted came has a unexpected blow to the government which tried its every bit to save its image before the public but this time the civil society was powerful with a resounding cause that didn’t let the government to diverge the issue for the common man. The great irony is that the civil society group that stood for common man was equally under prepared for the cause to put forth their points in bringing the reformative law against corruption. The under preparation, and few divided opinions, and a micro number made it hard to move ahead and push the bill through the pipe line for framing the age old ombudsman law against corruption the Lok pal bill has been unfortunate in the Indian history. that always saw the  vogue process to time, amendment, and failures.

The corruption menace has today enrooted in Indian administrative system from grass route level to top levels. The bygone year has witnessed the absurd episode of corruption disclosures bringing disrepute to the nation. It is matter of shame we need to adopt hunger strikes to correct the system. This also recalls me how Indian system is ridiculed in a tea commercial that throws light on corruption in the public administration is a sensitive endeavor for us to brainstorm and rise against our exploitation than keep get going with the system. The hue and cry for having sustainable law also open the question whether a law can substitute fro our moral ethics that frame our character, the government can only bring law but the implementation of it is a collective responsibility of the law abiders. we the people should not only speak against corruption but we should rise at every corner in stopping  such prevailing practice. The young India should understand the fallacies of our system and leaders who are taking advantage of power that can be put an end by educating our selves and others including to make the right choice with our power of franchise for better pluralism in India.

The united progressive alliance government in power has achieved power in the name of empowerment for common man and articulated her promise every time to work for common man but the UPA’s rather Indian common man has lost his identity that recognized only once in five years, he is helpless, he his incapable of articulating his voice against the force of corruption the power of common man is feeble. He is used for every purpose and he is pacified with bundle of dreams and lot of promises just to imagine to believe that everything in the world belongs to him but in true sense he has no means to make this imagination into reality; he cannot afford to meet his two square meals due to inflationary crisis but still he hopefully to look after for change and empowerment; the policies that is made for common man has to filter from bureaucratic channel to reach the bare minimum as his share, The common man is the invented political innovation who is used and silenced to only serve political credibility. 

This is one true face of our Indian republic which will remain as the shadow of light before the world because India is hopeful, optimistic and growing by intoxicating this opium everything is done for the empowerment of common man and social evils need to be narrowed down which is done only on paper nevertheless we are struggling to reform our system. However a common man or aam adami still dream to overcome from the shackles of poverty, corruption, unemployment, and wish prosperity and development of country to embrace him in the mainstream by touching the benefits of policies directly.

The question here is that we know the problem, we figure out the solutions but why we fail in implementation, perhaps are we turned so impotent in our spirits that we need a cup of tea add to awake ourselves for our welfare. The civil society and government are now in the big fight debate 'yours versus mine' that categorically once again an endeavor to bring the cracks on the whole genesis of the issue but what is the urgent need from the civil society to reflect collectively the character against corruption. 

Nevertheless the civil society movement has given a new revivalism that brought nation to open their eyes against wrong and right perhaps We don’t need promises hounding, we don't need charismatic words for us, we need a transparent and accountable government for our welfare. we need a better future but not our past as our future  India today has to rise against the social evils with effective participation and law to give the menace a complete exit from our system. we know we can do it but now the time has came for us we all to act on it.

Social Network

The Social networking revolution has brought the great wind of change in opening one personal self to public may it be micro blogging, chatting, mailing Or your public/private walls on the social network sites like face book, orkut, LinkedIn etc. however the word privacy has been viewed today in a new fashion till yesterday our elders used to feel it awkward or shy to share personal details before friends or relatives now the buzz word is ‘techgo’ everyone like to go with the technology and people seldom feel shame in sharing their personal photos, comments, thoughts, and of course their tweets. The new revolution has considerably changed the geographical meaning of the world to shrunk it on the fingertips nevertheless the distance is mentally reduced to seconds but it still take hours to reach the place. The emerging breakthrough in technology has brought the world in more synchronization to share, spread and symbolize the intrinsic and extrinsic nuances of their self and society.

The growing craze of masses in getting together with the social network and social media in discussing, debating, echoing their voices on the private and public issues to gain, gather and gear support, opinion and momentum to their life is new phenomena of this young civilization. It is swiftly becoming integral to human lives around the world. This also bring the great challenge to the future of this technology and the techgo’s lives that cannot imagine without internet, and sites like face book, or twitter, what if they suddenly dislodge to loose the connection in the world may be it is hypothetical to think for their extinguishment. The existence of social network sites has got both its boon and bane as the vulnerability of loosing privacy is to the maximum. The challenges like hacking and misuse of profiles, pictures, and personal data from the social network sites to the wrong use is the persisting and profound confront to tackle before the social network community.

However there is need to understand the whole concept and tame the sphere of this influx not to overtake and dominate our lives in over hyped social form. It would be wise if we keep a line of command to ourselves between social and personal sphere in accessing the technology and interaction with the world, it has became more essential to handle the technology appropriately for our purposeful use as the addiction can cruise you or sunk you; it is vital to be awake while being in the ocean of social network. The growing cases of people complaining about the breach of privacy and a revenge hack from teen agers and hackers by posting unsolicited material, and trying to rob the personal information  as screened in the movie ‘the social network’ is a turning to be a living reality that has increased the chances of vulnerability. we ourselves also have to share the blame for the poor knowledge of handling our data and privacy matters that brings unhappy consequences form social network against your life.

It is easy to ponder over the problem but what is effective is to find solution amidst this large problem. The protection or security policy of people who are part of this giant social network groups will be the fundamental question and responsibility of the sites producers who are looking after the network to protect any breach; there is also responsibility lies at the end-users who need to be selective in sharing the credible information on the virtual network, it could be not to everyone but to only their near and dear ones. This can also be done by keeping the contacts to minimum, there is need to prioritize on using and understanding the technology. We need to get ourselves educated about securing from any breach of personal self to wrong use; one can learn to use these sites and their personal accounts with sensitivity and intelligence on social network sites to evade any shortcomings.

The challenges on the social network sites also come with opportunities we find that the opportunities in socializing through the sites is on high pace, it has emerged as a new platform for the human expressions to reach the world and invite the world to reach us. The growing statistics of  social network sites is turning to be hub for consumerism; a common student from graduation college holds near about thousand contacts in her/his account which reflects on social grouping but it is very tiresome for her/his to remain connected every day to the three digit number of her/his contacts.

The other side of the coin is much brighter irrespective of the dark side of social network that came as sliver lining in bringing people together from distant frontiers to meet their friends and family away from home, the role of social network is instrumental in anchoring as melting pot and bringing different people belonging to different ethnicity, culture, and background on a single platform. The human invention has delivered both positive and negative fruits to the humanity but with this discovery humanity has got the reason to cheer for this civilization that holds a golden chapter on social network in the history.

Identity Crisis

The population of India is going to achieve first position in the world crossing the most populated country china in a prediction by 2050. At present Indian population is approximately around 1.21 billion out of which the minorities constituting significant portion into the whole; these minorities are the vote bank for Indian politics that drive its policies by the parties and leaders in the national politics, however the minority community is wrongly misunderstood to be only Muslim but the word minorities constitute people of different faith and ethnicity which are less in number that includes Muslim, Christian, jains, etc.These minority classes contribute in framing the multi cultural identity of India which is universally recognized as unity in diversity as our national identity, nevertheless their is a identity crisis among minorities at the national level to accept any one leader or one party as their true representative perhaps this crisis looms so large that it shadows the basic problems among minorities. It is constantly debated to find the solution for problem an identity for minorities that can stand for their issue in their own interest than vested interest of any leader or party lines.

The identity requirement that emerged during the struggle of independence gave birth to Muslim league that stood as representative identity and political group for Muslims as lead by Jinnah and others but the consequences were neither in favor of minorities nor majority. The representation that was expected for the mainstream empowerment of minorities was left at the back seat to partition the country which was maneuvered by the British left Indian soil and people divided. The grand old party of India took the reins to act as the savior for 54 years as identity of India particularly standing for the cause of minorities from north to south and from west to east.

Congress under Nehru Gandhi was hope against hope for minorities and than the unexpected development BJP that was an organization came strongly with fundamental cause standing  for Hindus with Babri masjid Demolition changed the equations of Indian politics in split divide between two factions of an imperial party that steered the nation for freedom and nationalist party that stood against the ancient party as a formidable national competitor; the minorities again were used as ace card for power by various regional parties that grew rapidly Like Samajwadi and BSP in UP, Muslim League In kerla and Janta Party In Bihar (which again got split into three different groups as janta dal secular, janta dal united, and Rhastriya Janta Dal only to bring disrepute to the legacy of morarji desai that ruled the country under one united janta dal) including congress and BJP that claimed to be the identity for minorities left once again minorities in isolation and identity crisis. The labor class saw the loyalty of left parties for protection of their interest and issues unfortunately the left parties couldn’t expand to command their presence in the domain of minorities barring in west Bengal and kerla.

The plight of minorities was not in praise worthy condition as their religious identity was attacked, humiliated and discriminated in creating the divide between them and others; Indian integrity was left far behind in bharat and India was watching its make over in wake of LPG liberalization, privatization and globalization. The common man was not untouched with the advent of new wind to accommodate itself for the transitional change to imposed identity. However the minorities were suffering in the agony of silence for reform.

The minorities were left out from the centre frame between the battles among parties and leaders who enforced themselves as representatives of minorities lead to appeasement of minorities who were used as fuel for communalism in 1984 Sikh riots, 1992 Babri masjid demolition, and 2002 Gujarat riots, the political parties never appeared to be true identity of minorities to bring them into mainstream for their holistic growth perhaps the coalition era came as blessing in disguise for minorities with  culmination of major parties into Left front alliance, NDA and now UPA who tried to deliver some benefits of development for their sustenance; however minorities remain in constant endeavor in search of their identity among the political identities that lost in darkness of political power.

The economic change gave a new hope for minorities to inculcate its identity into the growth story of the country but yet the lack of modern and affordable education was a great impediment with Muslims being rigid and discriminative to change form their madrasa design of education to adopt the modern form of education, Christians, Sikhs, jains, Buddhist are also traditionally unwilling to change due to geographic,  cultural, and financial constraints. This resulted in a political appeasement which took minorities as puppet into the hands of political leaders and parties who used them tactfully as power vote bank with little protecting their interest, in the name of their development, there were only commissions, reports, recommendations which saw seldom implementation against the famous commission like Justice Ranganth Mishra, Justice Rajender Sachar and other distinguished program by the union and state government. The common man from minority community was hopelessly looking for his identity amidst these developments perhaps he would little care about reports, budget allocation, and government manifesto or identity before two square meals, shelter and a living with dignity which was far from his reach.

The religious heads intrude from the backdoor into the political platform to claim as the savior of minorities but failed to only loose their identity in middle to be neither a religious priest nor politician; their was in conclusion pacification of minorities who was never asked about their desire but only taken for granted at every corner and every time. The media that was voicing the concerns about the issues of minorities was running from one post to other with minorities in searching an identity that truly represents them and their issues are yet to succeed in their adventure.

This is sad irony that after six decades of Indian independence. National democracy has got to her achievement for being greatest but still there is scarcity of a good leader or party that represents the identity of minorities. The gift of democracy has given birth to number of political parties and leaders but not one universal and true representative for the cause of minorities. The judiciary has been time again reiterating against appeasement and need for involvement of minorities and underprivileged strata into mainstream Nevertheless the author believes that the empowerment of minorities is itself their true identity for sustainable development which needs to be met by the parties and leaders to bring them into mainstream for societal growth through the power of education and equality in a heterogeneous and holistic manner; it is paradoxical that minorities more than subjects have became a caste group, vote bank, and target section for the political parties and leaders of India today; as this small portion is growing and getting self enlightened; the considerable force will be difficult to manage in future may be in identity crisis or in its full existence.
