Adieu 2011.

The life is crossing bye to one more year with another 365 days  of new sunshine, smiles, and surprises ahead. How you will like to remember 2011, a year that brought, cheers tears and unpredictable moments in politics, business, relationships, scams, make ups, break ups and you;  what change and what not change in your lives during 2011 need to be answered by ‘you’ but what happened around your surrounding round the year is equally important . Someone succeeded, someone failed, few made profits, and many ended up in losses. The activities kept us busy only to forget our resolutions to pace up the day as it arrived. Do we remember promises we made before saying happy New Year to ourselves?

To put in flashback I remember the year started with hope and living the hope for the ensuing year 2012. The year brought India to tryst with cricket sport making a world cup victory after two decades that will keep pride glowing in our hearts to rejoice. India had been courteous host for international sporting events the common wealth games and formula one motor car racing kept our nerves under thrill. The history consciously made difference in few lives that will never forget the year 2011 to name few Anna Hazare A retired Indian Military personnel who stood at frontline in creating awakening against the 'Chalta hain attitude' to rise for anti corruption law Jan lokpal bill, KBC winner Sushil Kumar who may not have dreamt to hit the jackpot to make his life better, A rising symbol of women power Mamta baneerjee who broke the shackles of left rule in her right favor to form government in west Bengal, Virender shewag surpassing records in one day international cricket and Cyrus mistry the hidden name rising to lead the giant Tata Empire succeeding headship of Ratan Tata, Amir khan spreading the message of UNCIEF as ambassador in India. The history also misses some of the great humans in Steve jobs and Dev Anand who left for heavenly abode untimely. The days turns into weeks, weeks, into months, and month wrapping a year but what significant did the year 2011 is leaving on the age of time is conclusion we need to draw ourselves.

The positives in India were never much in number because who ever coined the proverb ‘anything can happen in India’ was best projected in 2011. The beginning of the year brought full energy to everyone to channelize their potentials before the unappreciated disclosure that started exploring vices of corruption brought by the people in power left people disappointed. The growing economy hounding in the name of inflation also burned the common man prosperity with peace. yet optimism never deceased in India, Every morning we wake up with new spirit to live in a hope the day will be better than yesterday bringing new opportunities, new avenues, new hopes to make life better in a renewed appearance. One seldom likes to remember sour memories but time is strong to bridge old memories with new for future.

The international soil saw swift developments as democracy received utmost attention in Arab countries people rising for rights and initiating a revolutionary movement from the soil of ancient civilization at Egypt. The renaissance broke from Egypt heralded into whole Arab countries to experience the quest for change that brought some new chapters in history of nations like Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen, Bahrain, Syria, Jordan, and Sudan. The great beginning received overwhelming support from the global powers by articulations and arsenal push that also took the toll of many civilian and military human lives and violation of human rights in the name of change for rights.  

The western economy again fumbled down as the United States of America couldn't keep its control over its credit and spending policy which leaves fear open for double dip recession in coming days that may put the economies of world under vulnerability, the  euro drop under crisis as the PIGS economies too faint due to irrational management of economics paving for change in leadership and borrowings to survive. However the south Asian economies appeared to be in good positions but came under pressure of global economic crisis resulting in escalating inflation. 

The 2011was fortunately saw a low intensity in terrorist activity without any major terrorist actions many thanks to the global vigilance attitude against terrorism by the sovereigns. The 2011 in fact saw the biggest feat of killing AL-Qaida leader Osama bin laden by operation Geronimo at abottabad in Pakistan. The USA forces made their way for home from Iraq; Pakistan was entangled in finding solutions of problems made by its own, however the situation was normalizing at Afghanistan and the two different royal dynasties got their daughter in laws in two common women Kate Middle town weeded to Prince William at London and bhutan prince jigme khesar wangchuk married to jetsun pema.

This and much more events made news more from cross section of society in the bygone year, the year 2011 can be truly reflected as a year of change but for me and you it was a year also for keeping promises, abiding our resolutions which we succeeded and also failed before new commitment’s to keep up with old once nevertheless this new year let us renew our resolutions to welcome 2012 with new hopes and joy.

This century and civilization is most fortunate to witness the renaissance of technology which is under faster and furious race as compare with the formula F1 race cars, as the planet earth is wired in the tech innovations to view the spree of launching of gadgets, automobiles, and appliances all efforts to make life easier or more complicated? It will be a paramount question left to human reasoning to discover answers. 

As the innovation race in technology gearing to make us efficient and effective under science which is now more cool than complicated. The upcoming devices has no match with their predecessor  and emerging concepts and phenomenon creating a buzz to take life into a roller coaster ride to imagine the unbelievable things that is on their route to harmonize efficiency in business, living, and much more to explore extravaganza on earth.

The flash back of how technology has changed in many aspects from a conventional telephone instrument to modern smart phone; the later has more superior faster with high configuration and empty space in its constitution to fill some new element with its next latest version. The world has shrunk from football to a table tennis ball getting one access to a real world through virtual route disseminating knowledge, business, News, features, articles, lifestyle, and culture etc.

Notebooks, Tab Pads, Mobile phones, GPS. and many more operations  that take place in our day to day affairs with the help of technology, it would have been difficult to think without the assistance of a helping hand of technology precisely to name it in search engines like ‘Google’ which provides multi faceted functions to help and support in making life easy. However the lives are wired to less worry and find solutions to problems in any area of life . Technology acts instrumental in helping and taking you out from problem to peace. The growing innovation of technology has also added to another problem of worry in adding stock pile of technological waste which is spilling like a oil in various categories causing a hazardous situation to overcome for the human and environment. The technology is increasing in every sector in leaps and bounds due to the innovation and creativity factor. The global businesses have surfaced their unique budgets for Research and development to discover the new trends in technology. The western nations have find the way of dumping it aged tech products on developing nations through exports but the developing nations have no vertical option to transfer or recycle this waste that is creating catastrophic situation to cause the explosion from bottom  to top due to this hazardous products that are enhancing in mega  numbers

It was my pessimistic impression about procrastination unless I learned that it’s not individualistic phenomenon but a common practice and habit in life style to procrastinate the most precious time from one to everyone. It is frequent note that we tend avoid the pending tasks that need our attention to accomplish it. This blog I dedicate as an attempt to share my learning in an exercise to manage self with time efficiently and effectively

In the era of multi tasking that has redefined the work profile of everyone in and out of their business and personal lives time is recognized as an important resource to manage self in society. The growing role of technology has shifted human life from local to global presence which makes them 24x7 remain connected through the help of social media net such as twitter, face book, LinkedIn etc  which is emerging as fundamental in human lives and changing their roles and responsibilities. However yet in spite of this digital revolution the organizational principle for efficiency contradicts with the lethargic principle of humankind to procrastinate in wasting time with or without any purpose.

The code to break the evil of procrastination is to encode to organize self to better manage with the few details of grooming yourself to convert your limited time into maximum output. The human tendency to procrastinate comes from the inner sense of liking and disliking for the work that is before you to do or not to do? There are some observations that can help you out in trying yourself to rescue from procrastination of time. These are as follows-

There is no better time than now to start a new endeavor or finish a pending project and thus don’t be afraid of complacency but ignite yourself to practice time skills identify and network mind frame to achieve tasks than procrastinate at the cost of your work priority. Humans need to realize that the life is not a permanent affair to remain stand still rather it is a journey that does not ask for institutionalizing of resources into their family or surrounding but sharing, helping and supporting the needs from self to others. However we are immensely busy today in chasing comfort that make us to miss the ecstatic comfort of our present. There may be few exceptions against this observation but believe me they are only few; we seldom endeavor to discover our life purpose and always busy in decorating life in forms to perform formidable roles.

Life can equally be simple splendid and sweet but no one wants to synchronize it, they speed up to design it in their approach for how life should be best brand. Our lives can be compare to just like a balloon of expectations which is expanding limitlessly in her proportionate may be one day only to deflate. It is true but sad reality that life today is measured in terms of economic aspects than valued aspirations, one like to attach his life success with his material prosperity.

However it is true fact human life is turning to down slide into a lesser value before the currency paper value which has exceeded by leaps and bounds from the genesis of life. These could be an adventure by the market forces and the unending quest from humanity to aspire for more and more. There is an unsolicited environment growing into no end for the saturation point against such phenomenon. We do also play with life in planning and saving to predict future unknowingly are we going to be or not to be the part of that coming future.

Let us renew ourselves to be happy in peace with our limits all that importantly we need is food cloth shelter than brands but the growing integral infatuation has made our priorities to change to brands over bread, life over luxury, and satisfaction over greed. there can also be a different meaning to life by drawing a sketch to be content by logging priorities and hoping positively to take life as it comes in her enamored persona. 

Circus charm.

The common man’s recreation ‘circus’ enrooted in the cities and small towns as storm bringing the whole neighborhood under one roof to refresh and witness the complimenting stunts by human and animal fraternity in not only acrobatic approach but also much waited humor part that was alluring its audiences to view the two hour show filled with splendor of splashes.

It was this colorful splendor that inspired the screened legend Raj kapoor to surface one of the fine depictions of reality on frame entitled as Mera Naam Joker as the movie was closer to reality than fiction, the style of raj kapoor bonding into indo Russian affair that was enthralled by him in his simply style and movie particularly the projection of Russian circus led to compliment Namaste with Dasvidaniya was remarkable feat.  It is also a sweet co-incident that the king khan of bollywood shah rukh khan achieved his small screen success with the episode ‘circus’.

As I open my memories about circus it is no more nostalgia to remember that anxiety and joy to rush with family and friends grabbing a popcorn packet and catching the front row seat to watch the gymnastic traits of animals, and artist in circus, the crush with the joker making tireless efforts to make the audience laugh and my persistent desire to keep him watching in circus. The beautiful birds cycling, the ferocious tiger, lion, elephant acting and playing on the instructions of ring master, the bear and monkeys dancing to the tunes of band, the pretty ladies walking the tight rope to maintain their balance which was something jaw dropping view for me to their skills and acumen with clapping appreciation. The show would have always added something new to its season whether it may be human cradle chain, or motor bike stunts, it was more a practical reality show than fiction drama projecting superficialities.

The circus always brought craze to one and everyone in the town with its charm much to its peak between the newlywed couples, family, friends, boys and girls planning to go circus to enjoy their time. It was always special evening to walk to circus every time when the show is running in town, everyone in town were extremely happy and excited for the entertainment, anyone barely empathize with people of Circus Companies. It has been many years the circus haven’t knocked the town I miss those people and their extravaganza and sometimes ask myself where are those people, animals and whole troupe gone and  if they are somewhere what is their future?

The digital innovation has brought growing forms of recreation media like play station, music gadgets, movie multiplexes, shopping malls, and FM channels replacing the traditional and practical forms of  recreation forms such as puppetry shows, snake charmer dance, circus, folk art, street plays etc virtually leading to their extinguishment from the present majority population. However these heritage arts will became subjects of interest of studies than visualize their presence to the coming generations perhaps the machine is changing the human thinking from creativity to cut, copy and paste type of amusement.

The need is to maneuver our inventions for the outcome of sustainability to reproduce the growth story by emphasizing and inputting our plans into actions for the generation next to gift a life with pride, dignity and harmony to cherish than regret our endeavors’.

This is not a philosophical quest to institutionalize harmony with principle to live and let others live but a demanding necessity between the parts of world that cannot remain in isolation and has to adhere to the universal shared values, mutual respect and global interdependence to take pleasure in valuing our resources and sharing it for the growth of others than culling the same with existing resources against the growth of self.

As this the fundamental call is to  accept the need for co-operation to defeat persistent and forthcoming challenges to empower and expand peace through purposeful efforts, the human inventions that were discovered to rescue humanity are now acting as reprisal against us through arsenal discoveries like guns, explosives, and terror mechanisms. It is we have to draw the line and gather ourselves with bold steps and bounded commitment to overcome the testing time of terror travesties. 

The human advancement today is in dire need for help and support to convert its use to upgrade into the positive empowerment to protect and preserve humanity and harmony nonetheless the trends and inclinations has to be change or else the prophetic reality will leave scourge memories for history to repent this civilization as part of it. 

The Lost Joy.

As a kid I always wish to grow in life because the childhood was so disciplined to run and manage schedules as everything was framed in time machine. The meticulous inspiration of my mother who used to make me run to have tryst with happiness that sometime seems to be so weird for the tiny toddler like me to bunk and escape to some fairy land but today I am grown but I equally miss some of those moments which are disappeared and lost from my life my joy.

The school days that were so hectic when you need to be on your toes and find reasons or make excuses to miss the school for your favorite sport match, movie or going outside with parents. The happiness of not going to school and half day school on Saturday with next day Sunday as a complete holiday used to make feel thrill to await anxiously every Saturday to come sooner than later nevertheless I miss today the difference between days as the days still passed in same fashion, same Saturday coupled with Sunday making great weekend but life has moved ahead and we need to plan for the days to come may be many Saturdays and more Sundays. 

The unconditional love that everyone experience in childhood is priceless showering from all sides on to them particularly my enthusiasm was not much in going to school but getting new uniforms for me with new boots, new belt, and new tie and fountain pens. The first day of school doing gossip with friends, about uniforms, what you did in holidays and trying to impress your crush in class, sharing with friends name stickers for cover book, playing bet jolly games. There are some unique memories we all possess from our school days, I particularly cannot forget going school in different mode of transport like in Tanga (horse Chariot), Rickshaw, bus and with Papa sitting in front of vehicle and sometimes taking lifts before much yearned and appealed gift of joy on my birthday arrives at home my own stylish bicycle taking me high in spirits with its ride on roads.

This is not much but the more fun was in sharing friend’s lunchbox, keeping little but large pocket money counting and recounting and spending it one go in intervals with keeping a high credit bill with ice cream vendor and filing appeals to  parents to increase the pocket money for the much awaited funfair day in schools to spend all money in different stalls of foods and games; I also cannot forget the tedious morning assembly for which I get purposely late and skipping to only stand in late comers queue and pay additional fine to get pardon. Please forgive me god for giving naughty and untrue excuses to evade the fine.

The overwhelming wish at school before the statue of Jesus to do the miracle for home work to get done by itself automatically and let me find a Rs 500 currency note on road. I still look on ground to find myself lucky but the money is not found on ground or trees. The dedicated group studies with pressuring the group leader to be lenient against its own group members, copying the math’s answers from friend notebook and during exams studying less praying hard for god to get pass. what were those days that flew so fast and fabulous.

The life was so simple that I used to get happy for achieving satisfactory marks, doing little things of joy and enjoying every moment, neither there was so fierce competition like now, nor rapid increase in materialism. The surmount pressure from parents has robbed the essence of childhood from kids. Yet the children today are so sharp that I was not in my age they do so many activities like computing, gaming, swimming; and so on but they miss to have tryst with their childhood that is now networked into task making resulting as task manager especially the concept of education is synchronized with so many extracurricular activities and getting expandable like balloon unknowing what it’s going bring next?

I feel happy that I am saved from this intensity of chasing merit in numbers over knowledge nevertheless I still today miss the tanga’s that used to pick and drop me to home with its horse footsteps creating Rhythm of sounds on roads, I miss the rickshaw that give me feeling the sky is chasing me, I miss my bicycle which was my proud possession, I profoundly miss the tree shade area where I and my friends used to have lunch which is now replaced into a auditorium complex,

Now the things have drastically changed everywhere my friends got dispersed away in their busy lives, keyboard have replaced pens and one by one I lost joy of my life that made me older and alone to only recall the nostalgia in enchanting memories.

I hope the child hood joy could be brought back or hold in stagnancy to cherish all the good, ugly, and naughty things I dreamt and did in school days that used to bring so much fun without any worries and responsibilities perhaps now every those things have fallen behind to remember and laugh on my endeavors that I was no less than like a joker.

Black Day.

Every year the day makes it appearance I feel anguished as the sad day of September 9/11 is the most blackest day in the history of civilization to turn into be the cause of millions of death, injuries and misery around particularly for those who has no reason to receive what was bestowed on them; my heart goes to the victims of attack and post operation by USA in war on terror that virtually took the toll of innumerable lives in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq in the name of justice perhaps the retaliation was unjust in its velocity; it was no one fortune to have grief as the part of their lives particularly the innocent children who lost their parents, mothers their son, and families their member that amounted in a breakthrough of a family and more than that catastrophe of harmony.

As I pay my condolences to the victims on this inauspicious anniversary, I will never forget this day in my life time to witness the biggest conspired havoc  on humanity by the group of people in the name of ‘ideology’ that whatever matters to them. No religion preached violence of their own brethren whoever are we, wherever are we, however are we the fundamental bond between us is we are beautiful creation of god we all are humans and we should learn to live in harmony; the principle of let live and others live should became the hallmark principle of humanity than humanity itself becoming enemy for the extinction of its own race.

There cannot be no human or divine support for the alleged incident of September 9/11 but it should not be a precedent of might proving that their will is right that is also against the principle of justice and values. The post9/11 attack by Bush regime in Iraq is no less than war crime on civilians who got caught between a nation that was hurt and injured and in a spirit of revenge against not only the perpetrators but the whole community, the people practicing the faith of Islam were in taken shock and despair against the attack putting their morality and identity into downgrade and discrimination that became into a principle with tolerance in form of condemnation, racial profiling, and attacks. The message was clear an eye for an eye but the attackers failed to give the thought that their maneuver to take revenge cannot end but fuel the response in the name of counter reprisal that brought peace in keos. 

This persistent wish for action and reaction has resulted into ‘violence’ overtaking peace and spreading around the world that substituted harmony into hatredness particularly Islam becoming the causality for no reason against its teachings and its practices. The prejudices against Islam and the western world created a gulf and suddenly the scholars, intelligentsia including the media that were till yesterday least bothered to know about Islam started a negative campaign for the maligned attack that was not only against one nation but against its own community.

The whole world went into fear of Islam phobia and fierce attack against Muslims and the Muslims and Christians became eye of storm for each other putting a situation of distress in lives of world, the disadvantage holds on the side of the Muslim civil society who fail to prove in explaining the meaning of Islam before west turn prejudice to the peace loving religion perhaps the powerful might has shadowed the good qualities of Islam and projected a painted Image of religion which is not exactly what it is shown however the author believes religion cannot be used as symbols for proving one authority against other and Islam and its teachings were doctored and used to tame victory, Islam categorically preaches in submission of will to God, it is pre dominantly peace loving religion and its teachings ask to defend herself against the injustice and ‘overcome its weakness into strengths’. (Jihad) than inflict violence in the name of justice, ideology or terror unjustified.

It is still today an unknown fact why those groups in the name of Al-Qaeda inflicted attack on World trade centre or why the terror war begun and why only against USA? As in the present of my life it may not be able to discover an answer to these questions that has no justification; yet, we all know the whole global world is sitting on nuclear volcano that can end the entire humanity; History may have to be patient to find answers that may be there wasn’t any cause or a superficial cause that led into horrors of demon with a scourge on humanity.

The one message I convey to myself in prayer whenever I come across this day every year and start recollecting the haunted memories of September 9/11. God please you carved this earth so beautifully and protect it peacefully before the hollow minded world destroys it purposefully.
